It was a beautiful autumn evening, and warmer after sunset than usual in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We went out with the cameras to capture the beauty of the night down at the Lakefront. Our main focus was the skyline from the area surrounding the Milwaukee Art Museum. We wandered down to McKinley Marina and noticed the reflection of the skyline on the Lagoon from East Lagoon Drive.
Later in the year, I used this same vantage point to photograph the fall colors. The reflections, day or night, were breathtaking!
In English, my last name (Beausoleil) means Beautiful Sun. I've always lived up to my name, up early with the sun, and almost always with a camera in hand. I've been a landscape and night photographer for over 15 years, and just recently started displaying my work on my website - BeautifulSunPhotography.com.
As the saying goes, a picture might be worth a thousand words, but for me, there's always a backstory. That what this blog is about. To tell the story behind my photography.
